The Oxford Garden Club has worked for the last several months to raise $17,000 to put a new fountain in Lake Patsy at Pat Lamar Park.

This week the fountain was installed, turned on and spraying up and over the lake.

“We sincerely hope that the residents of Oxford will appreciate this fountain as a fantastic addition to the community and a delightful sight for all to enjoy for many years ahead,” the Garden Club posted on Facebook Friday morning.

The fountain not only looks nice but also helps maintain the health of the lake by providing aeration into the water.
