University of Mississippi Police Department investigating sexual battery

The University of Mississippi Police Department is investigating a report of sexual battery that occurred around 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of Poole and West drives. No further information was available at press time.
UPD suggests students and anyone walking on the campus at night, to take some precautions: attend events with a friend; let others know your plans; don’t accept an open drink from anyone; be aware of your surroundings; download the LiveSafe app; walk with a companion; walk in well-lit areas; and use the Code Blue emergency phone or call UPD if you don’t feel safe.
