Oxford Police Department held their annual Fun Day Saturday at the OPD.
Children enjoyed a day of food and games and getting the chance to pet mounted police horses and police dogs.
The Open House event was free to the public and was in its third year in Oxford.
In the past, the event was held in the spring, but it was decided this year to hold it in the fall.
“The spring is always rainy and the weather’s unpredictable,” said Capt. Alan Ivy, one of the event chairs. “We decided let’s have it just before football season kicks off, and it allows us to promote our haunted house we’re having in October.”
