Fans can get a first look at the 2024-25 Ole Miss men’s basketball team before the regular season begins.
At 1 p.m. on Oct. 27 at the Pavilion, the team will welcome Illinois for a charity exhibition game.
The event takes the place of the former Square Jam that occurred on the Square. However, this year’s team introduction will also help out a great cause.
Net proceeds from sales will benefit Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of North Mississippi, which helps advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children involved in proceedings through youth courts.
“We are thrilled that Ole Miss Athletics has selected CASA of North Mississippi as the beneficiary of the men’s basketball charity exhibition game. Since the inception of this program in 2018, CASA and Ole Miss Athletics have forged a strong partnership. From the administration to the athletes, their ongoing support for our mission and the abused and neglected children we serve in North Mississippi is truly remarkable,” said Erin Smith, executive director of CASA of North MS. “This game offers not only an opportunity to preview Ole Miss men’s basketball but also a chance for attendees to contribute to our cause. The funds raised will significantly impact the lives of many children we serve.”
Tickets will cost $20 for general admission seating, except floor seats.
Parking will be open.
All Ole Miss students can attend for free with a valid student ID.

Anticipation is on the rise for the Ole Miss men’s basketball team, as they head into the second season under head coach Chris Beard. The Rebels return six players from last year, including three starters, adding six transfers and four first-year student-athletes.
