OMS students serve as Senate pages

Oxford Middle School students Mary Mason Bennett (center right) and Ava Montgomery Cross (center left) recently served as pages in the Mississippi Senate. They were sponsored by Sen. Nicole Boyd and are pictured by Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann. Cross is the daughter of  Richard and Jane Cross, and Bennett is the daughter of Mason and Miranda Bennett. Pages run errands for officials and Senate staff during their visits. The students observed the Senate in session and watched as bills were introduced, amendments presented, and roll call votes recorded.
