Possible strong storms over night; more rain later in the week

Rain and possible thunderstorms are expected to roll into Lafayette County later tonight and hang around through Tuesday.
According to the National Weather Service, there is a marginal risk that there could be some severe storms after midnight and into Tuesday morning. The biggest threat is hail and damaging winds.
The high expected for Tuesday is around 72 degrees. Rain and thunderstorms are likely before 3 p.m. There is a 30 percent chance of rain showers Tuesday night with a low around 55 degrees.
The rain will take a pause on Wednesday when partly sunny skies and a high around 73 degrees is expected. The low on Wednesday should be around 52 degrees,
The rain is forecast to return on Thursday, this time bringing a cold front with the showers.
The high on Thursday should reach 70 degrees. The heavier rain is expected after midnight and into Friday. The high on Friday is expected to be 69 degrees with the low at 51 degrees.
The rain will continue on Saturday that should see a high of 61 degrees. However, the temperature will begin to drop later in the day down to a chilly 38 degrees Saturday night.
The sun should return on Sunday with a high near 58 degrees.
