Three Lafayette County residents have been arrested following an investigation in Abbeville.

On Friday, April 24, Investigators with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department arrested William Yourn, 38, and Joseph Chamness, 39, for receiving stolen property. Yourn was also charged with possession of a weapon by a felon.

On Saturday, April 25, Christy Hyer, 47, was arrested for receiving stolen property as well. Yourn, Chamness and Hyer were all involved in this particular case in the Abbeville area, according to the sheriff’s department. Yourn received a bond of $15,000, Chamness received a bond of $10,000 and Hyer received a bond of $5,000. All subjects are still at the Lafayette County Detention Center.
