Man charged with commercial burglary

The Oxford Police Department was dispatched to a business on West Jackson Avenue on July 13 for a report of a possible vehicle burglary.

After talking with the caller and surrounding businesses, the suspect was identified as George Larry Gillom, 62, of Oxford. Gillom was arrested and charged with commercial burglary and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center to await his bond hearing.
