HATTIESBURG — The Southern Miss football program announced Tuesday the addition of a non-conference game against Miami and a four-game series with Troy.

Southern Miss faces the Hurricanes at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Sept. 10, 2022. It will be the first-ever football meeting between the schools.

Southern Miss and Troy, meanwhile, will play each other four times between 2021 and 2029. They’ll play in Hattiesburg in 2021 and 2029, and at Troy in 2024 and 2028.

“We are excited to announce these future games for our football program,” said Southern Miss Director of Athletics Jeremy McClain, who was previously the athletic director at Troy. “Our scheduling philosophy moving forward will continue to include regionally based opponents that provide great opportunities for fans to enjoy Golden Eagle football.”
