One person died Saturday morning at Lindsey’s Chevron on North Lamar Boulevard near the Square, Oxford Police Department confirmed.

Officers with the Oxford Police Department responded to an ambulance assist call at approximately 9:40 a.m., according to Capt. Hildon Sessums. One person was pronounced deceased at the scene.

There is no indication as to whether foul play was involved or if it was a natural death. Reports also say a body covered in a white sheet could be seen near the gas pumps. The area outside the convenience store is blocked off with crime scene tape.
