The eight members of the Ole Miss men’s basketball team who knelt during the national anthem prior to Saturday’s game against Georgia caught the attention of nearly the entire country. Everyone except the Mississippi Governor, that is.
On Tuesday Phil Bryant told the Associated Press he has not put much thought towards the eight Rebels taking a knee in protest of the pro-Confederate rally taking place across campus at the same time.
Bryant said he has not had “much of a chance to look at” video of the players kneeling. He also said he had been in Washington to deal with the aftermath of the storms that hit Mississippi last week and into the weekend.
