Oxford Police have arrested three out-of-town residents since the beginning of February from three surrounding Mississippi cities.

Police arrested Olive Branch, Sardis and Batesville residents since February 4th for three different alleged crimes, according to OPD press releases.

SARDIS NATIVE ARRESTED FOR GRAND LARCENY

OPD took a report from a victim on February 15th saying a suspect had allegedly taken the victim’s property. Police were given information that the suspect was in possession of the alleged stolen property while at court.

The victim signed charges, and OPD arrested the suspect on February 17th. Misty Douglas, 37 of Sardis, was charged with grand larceny and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center.

A Justice Court Judge set Douglas’ bond at $10,000.

OLIVE BRANCH NATIVE ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED BURGLARY

Oxford Police took a report from a burglary victim on February 7th that a person allegedly broke into her house and stole a television.

OPD conducted an investigation, and determined that Martize Wallace, 28 of Olive Branch, allegedly stole the television. Wallace was arrested and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center.

A Justice Court Judge set Wallace’s bond at $5,000.

BATESVILLE NATIVE ARRESTED FOR CREDIT CARD FRAUD

Oxford Police took a report of credit card fraud on February 4th from a victim, and police began an investigation.

During the investigation, OPD identified Mona Johnson, 40 of Batesville, as the person who allegedly stole the card.

A warrant was issued for Johnson, and was served by Panola County Sheriff’s Department. Johnson was arrested on February 15th, and was transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center.

A Justice Court Judge set Johnson’s bond at $5,000.
