Ole Miss added to its 2019 recruiting class Friday with a commitment from quarterback Grant Tisdale.
Tisdale announced his pledge with a post to his Twitter account. A consensus four-star prospect out of Allen High (Texas), Tisdale is rated the nation’s No. 8 dual-threat signal caller and the 39th-best prospect in Texas in the 247Sports composite rankings.
Tisdale, who chose the Rebels over offers from Ohio State, Baylor, Tennessee and Oklahoma State among others, is the only quarterback committed in next year’s class. His pledge gives Ole Miss 11 commits in the class.
Should Tisdale follow through with his commitment and eventually sign with the Rebels, he’ll be the latest player from the Texas high school to end up in Oxford. Offensive tackle Greg Little and defensive back Jaylon Jones also signed with Ole Miss out of Allen as part of the 2016 recruiting class.
