For those seeking employment, the U.S. Census Bureau is currently hiring for field representative positions in Lafayette County.

According to an email from the Bureau’s regional Atlanta office, the pay rate is $14.07 per hour plus 53 cents per mile driven on duty.

The field representative role includes interviewing respondents to collect survey or census data, conducting door-to-door surveys and explaining the purpose of the survey to participants.
