Pot smoke reveals stolen gun

An Oxford man was arrested Saturday after a stolen gun was allegedly found in his vehicle.
According to the Oxford Police Department, a patrol officer pulled over a black Dodge charger for no headlights. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle after smelling marijuana coming from the vehicle. Officers located a pistol in the driver’s side door. The pistol was allegedly stolen during a burglary on Johnson Avenue a few weeks ago.
Police arrested the driver, Zephen Francis, 23, who was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $2,500 bond.
