Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi will host a free Family Health and Wellness Fair Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Oxford Conference Center.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Here is a list of activities:

•Developmental, dental, hearing and vision screening

•Education opportunities: fire and forest fire safety, crime and drug prevention and car seat safety

•Ambulance, fire truck and Hospital Wing helicopter tours

•Door prizes

•Arts and crafts projects

•Health, wellness and nutritional information

•Appearances by Ole Miss Rebel Bear, Ole Miss Cheerleaders, and Smokey the Bear

•Special book reading by Jill from Square Books

•Puppet show by Nancy with Oxford-Lafayette County Library

•Literacy presentation by Lafayette County Literacy Council

•Information available for parents/guardians on development, literacy, intervention programs, disability services, psychological services, exercise programs and child sports and recreation

•Giveaways on a first come, first served basis including water bottles, jump ropes, Band-aids, bike reflectors, hot dogs and fresh fruit

•Children’s Bike Rodeo begins at 9 a.m. (Please bring bikes for a safety check and group ride at 11 a.m.

•Back to School 5k race that begins at 7:30 a.m. The free and untimed race will start at the conference center and be followed by a one-mile family fun run/walk at 8:30 a.m.
