Oxford Treehouse Gallery will present a group exhibition of fiber arts featuring artists from around the country and right here in Oxford.
“Tied Together” will run this week through Feb. 18 with an opening reception Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
After early forays into painting and graphic design, Oxford’s Stephen Threlkeld took weaving classes in New Mexico and North Carolina, and now expresses himself artistically through this medium.
There will also be a sneak preview of internationally renowned Omaha, Nebraska-based tapestry artist Mary Zicafoose, whose work will be exhibited at The University Museum in October.
The exhibition is part of the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council’s Fiber Arts Festival and will also feature Andi Bedsworth, Diane Williams Ed Williford, Melanie Munns and Zita Webb.
