Anna May Ryan Dobbs

OXFORD — Anna May Ryan Dobbs, 96, died Sunday, July 3, 2016, at her home in Oxford. A graveside service will be held in Ponchatoula Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2017.

Born in New Orleans to the late Joseph Leslie and Dorothy Glasscock Ryan, Mrs. Dobbs was a Presbyterian by faith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years (1941 to 1995), Earl Stanley Dobbs Sr.; son, Earl Stanley “Chip” Dobbs Jr. and nine brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Dobbs is survived by her daughter, Barbara Dobbs Boling of Oxford; two grandchildren, Eric Reiley Boling of Madison and Blair Ryan Lowry of Dallas, Texas; five great-grandchildren, William Earl Lowry and Grace Anne Lowry, both of Dallas, Texas, Mary Reiley Boling, Olivia Price Boling and Claire Diane Boling, all of Madison; and several nieces and nephews. The family also wants to thank her regular sitter, Beverly Thompson, and the caring supporters from Camellia Hospice, particularly, Deanna Jackson, Melissa May and Tammy Cooper.
