Julie Atchley to Hunter Simpson

Mr. and Mrs. Randall Edwin Atchley announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Julie Kathryn Atchley of Nashville, Tennessee, to Hunter Edward Simpson, of Brentwood, Tennessee, son of the late Grady “Pepper” Simpson and Dana Jo Simpson and stepfather Dr. Steve K. Alcorn of Shelbyville, Tennessee.
The couple will exchange vows on May 28, 2016, at Wightman Chapel on the Vanderbilt University campus in Nashville. A reception will follow at the Hermitage Hotel.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Robert Dixon of Rutherford, Mrs. Phil Edward of Oxford, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer Russell Atchley of Rolling Fork.
She attended the University of Mississippi and was a graduate of O’More College of Design in Franklin, Tennessee, with a bachelor’s degree in fashion design. While at Ole Miss, she was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority. She is employed at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gregory Simpson of Shelbyville and the late LaDonna Lewis Simpson of Shelbyville.
He is attending Middle Tennessee State University where he is working on earning a degree in industrial and organizational psychology. He is a member of the Tennessee Air National Guard.
