A Tennessee man was charged over the weekend with aggravated domestic violence and possession of a firearm by a felon while in Oxford.
Howard Nunnally, 24, of Kingsport, Tennessee, was arrested by the Oxford Police Department on Friday.
“This was a result of the victim arriving at work and one of her co-workers reported to us that she had been assaulted,” said Maj. Jeff McCutchen. “When we arrived we were able to determine that she had been assaulted and she told us that her boyfriend, Nunnally, assaulted her at her apartment. We went back to her apartment to locate Nunnally at which time he fled on foot.”
McCutchen said when police caught up with him, he allegedly had a firearm and $5,000 in counterfeit money.
He currently is on hold for multiple agencies out of Tennessee for armed robbery and statutory rape. His bond was set at $25,000.
