Leapfrog Group awards Baptist an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade

Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi received an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from the Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit watchdog that evaluates hospitals on patient safety.

“Earning an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade from the Leapfrog Group is the highest honor and confirms the excellent care provided at Baptist North Mississippi,” said Brian Welton, chief executive officer and administrator of Baptist North Mississippi. “Our physicians, nurses and staff work hard every day to provide safe, high-quality care, and this recognition is important to them and the patients they serve.”

Leapfrog assigns letter grades from A to F to general hospitals nationwide based on more than 30 measures of patient safety. The group updates grades twice a year, in the spring and fall.
