LOU Reads is hosting the third annual Roll & Read program this month.
The free, family-friendly event promotes early childhood literacy through engaging, hands-on activities and interactive stations.
This year’s Roll & Read will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. on April 22 at Avent Park and is open to all families in the LOU community with children ages 0-8.
Previously, Roll & Read was themed around various classic nursery rhymes. This year, children can enjoy interactive stations inspired by “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” by Bill Martin Jr., which features playful and creative stations that bring the children’s classic to life.
Each family in attendance will also receive a free book to take home.
“It is always so fun to see families together, enjoying the sunshine, reading with their children, and connecting with others. That is what this event is all about,” said Cara Buffington, LOU Early Learning Collaborative Coordinator.
