Oxford man faces assault, burglary charges

On March 29, deputies from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to a disturbance on Highway 328.

According to reports, Timothy Wade Gray, 54, of Oxford, allegedly entered a residence and attempted to stab one of the occupants with a blade.

Gray was arrested and charged with burglary-breaking and entering a dwelling, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a weapon by a felon.

He appeared before a Lafayette County Justice Court judge and was issued a $50,000 bond; however, the Mississippi Department of Corrections placed a hold on him.
