Young artists in Lafayette County are gearing up for the 2025 Student Art Show, celebrating creativity from pre-K to 12th-grade students.
The contest is open to students attending an Oxford or Lafayette County school, including homeschoolers.
The event kicks off with art drop-off from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 4, at The Powerhouse.
The student artwork will then be displayed at the Ulysses “Coach” Howell Activity Center from March 5- April 27. The public is welcome to come and enjoy the artwork on display.
Winners will be announced on April 7, highlighting exceptional pieces across age groups. After the event is over, artists can pick up their work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 29 at The Powerhouse.
Submission guidelines include one piece per student, ready-to-hang artwork (no soda tops or simple mats; wire hangers are recommended), and a completed form with two attached labels for each piece. Submissions are welcomed from teachers or parents.
