As of Monday, the NWS expects 1 to 3 inches of snow to fall during the storm; however, that could change as the storm system gets closer to our area.

Mostly snow is expected; however, a mix of snow, rain and sleet will be possible at times.

Parents should make arrangements now with the expectation that if the forecasts are correct, schools could be canceled for Friday. Oxford and Lafayette County school districts will alert parents via their text message services and on their social media pages.

The Oxford EAGLE will post any weather-related cancellations and updates on our website, Facebook and Twitter pages.
