Jill Stevens has been named the 2024-2025 Oxford School District Parent of the Year.

Stevens is deeply invested in the OSD and its families. She has served for many years through various outlets, including Charger Christmas Kids, PTO, Love Packs, and more.

In a letter of recommendation, Stevens was described as someone who reflects the spirit of Parent of the Year in “every way.”

“Her kindness, selflessness and commitment to others serve as an example for us all … It is rare to encounter someone who so fully embodies the spirit of volunteerism, dedication, and community as Jill does. Her contributions to our school are immeasurable,” the letter stated.

Stevens told the EAGLE that she was “overwhelmed” by the recognition.

“We all stand on the shoulders of so many who have loved and supported these schools during their time in these halls,” Stevens said. “It is an honor to be able to serve the Oxford School District’s true heroes—our educators, coaches, administrators and staff, who continue the legacy of excellence that unites our entire community. I am so very proud to be an Oxford Charger.”

Each year, each school names a Parent of the Year and then a District Parent of the Year is chosen from those winners.

This year’s individual school Parents of the Year were: Creighton Holder (OECC), Elizabeth Morris (BES), Katie Naron (DDES), Jill Stevens (CES), Jenny Kate Luster (OIS), Mansi Patel (OMS) and Ashley Windham (OHS).
