Woman arrested for allegedly ramming into another vehicle

On Nov. 15, the Oxford Police Department began investigating an incident reported as a possible aggravated assault that occurred at a gas station on University Avenue.

Officers responded to the scene following a report of a vehicle intentionally colliding with another during a dispute. According to statements, the altercation began with an
exchange of words and escalated when one vehicle struck another. Four minor passengers were in the impacted vehicle at the time, but no injuries were reported, and
medical attention was declined.

A witness at the scene stated that the collision appeared intentional. Investigators worked to gather additional evidence, including follow-ups with witnesses and nearby
businesses for video footage.

After investigation, Tara Marion, 30, of Abbeville, MS, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault – Manifesting Extreme Indifference to Humane Life. Her bond is set by a Municipal Court judge.
