‘Moving the Goalposts!’

Somewhat reminiscent of the Ole Miss win against Alabama in 2014, fans knocked down Vaught-Hemingway Stadium goalposts following the Saturday night Rebel win over the Georgia Bulldogs.
But this time the goalpost landed at the Lafayette County Courthouse on the Oxford Square where a dozen or so Lafayette County Deputy Sheriffs took possession.
After cutting the posts into manageable sections, the armed deputies loaded the posts on a trailer and left the Square with emergency lights flashing and sirens wailing. Talk about moving the goalposts!
