The Lafayette County Democrats and the NAACP are holding a panel discussion about Project 2025 and its potential impact on our community.
The free event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 6 at the Stone Center on Washington Avenue.
The focus will be on what Project 2025 is and what it could be for the country if implemented. There will be time for a Q&A with the panelists.
Panelists include Andre Deberry, Carol Livingstone, J.T. Thomas and Heather Toney.
Project 2025, the 2025 Presidential Transition Project, is an initiative organized by the Heritage Foundation with the aim of promoting conservative and right-wing policies to reshape the U.S. Federal government and consolidate executive power.
