From the Emmy Award-winning team behind “Our Planet,” “Our Planet II” and “Planet Earth” comes a new live experience: “Our Planet Live” – a lecture series designed to entertain, inform and inspire, which will be making a stop in Oxford this fall.
“Our Planet Live,” will take place on Oct. 17 at the Gertrude Ford Center for the Performing Arts. Keith Scholey will speak on the topic, “Life on our plant.”
“Life on Our Planet” will transport the audience into how life has evolved and adapted throughout history, and how mass extinction events have established us as the dominant species — for now.
The lectures, complete with the spectacular and innovative cinematography from the Sir David Attenborough-narrated Netflix series “Our Planet,” are devoted to behind-the-scenes insights into what it takes to work and film in some of nature’s most dramatic and challenging environments.
Produced by Silverback Films and esk, in association with Netflix, each lecture will feature a speaker at the heart of the creative, filming and producing process.
Working with international touring agency IMG Artists and touring across North America from October 2024, the power, drama and excitement of the series will be experienced on the big screen along with making-of footage, stories from location shoots, and insights into our natural world.
“The Our Planet world developed by Silverback Films for Netflix continues to amaze and inspire viewers around the world since the first series was released in 2019,” said Dan Tapster, series producer at Silverback Films. “We are delighted to have the opportunity to bring the stories behind the creation of these images to life on the stage in theaters across North America.”
