Commodores Care, along with the help of area churches, residents and other organizations, have placed several Little Free Pantries around the county that offer free food to those in need.
Volunteers build, install and keep them stocked with nonperishable items.
Examples of items that can be put in the Little Free Pantries include nonperishable food, like canned foods, boxed meal kits, pop-top microwaveable dinners, Pop Tarts, pancake mix, syrup, snacks like crackers, fruit cups, packaged nuts, cereal bars and peanut butter. Hygiene items like feminine products, toothbrushes and toothpaste are also welcomed.
Do not leave used, expired or opened items.
