Frost advisory issued for Lafayette County; most of North MS

Get the extra comforters out tonight because it’s going to get downright chilly.
So chilly in fact that the National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for Lafayette County from 3 to 9 a.m. Thursday morning.
The low overnight is expected to drop to around 34 degrees, which can result in frost formation that can harm sensitive outdoor vegetation.
Thursday is expected to be sunny and warming up slightly with a high of 65 degrees and a low of 40 degrees. Temperatures will continue to gradually climb throughout the weekend with a high of 80 degrees possible on Monday.
Another cold front is expected to move into the area Monday night, cooling things back down into the 60s.
