A new three-way stop sign will soon be put up on the intersection of the Pat Lamar Park south entrance and Country Club Road.
City Engineer John Crawley told the Oxford Board of Aldermen last week that a recent traffic study showed the need for the stop sign.
“We took traffic counts and conducted a stop sign warrant study,” he said. “About 4,000 people came in and out of that park on a regular daily basis, so it does warrant a stop sign there.”
The board approved the stop sign and necessary striping at the intersection. Crawley said the project should be complete within a couple of weeks.
