Construction on Chipotle Mexican Grill is well underway at Sisk and Commonwealth Blvd in Oxford Commons. Crews continue to work on the exterior structure. Paving and curbs are visible. The restaurant is expected to open in early to mid 2024.

This will be the second Chipotle Mexican Grill in Oxford. The first opened in 2017 on Jackson Ave and the Sisk location will give Chipotle at East Oxford location. The new location will have a drive through, which will be the first “Chipotlane” drive through in Oxford.

Chipotle Mexican Grill is a fast casual restaurant known for its fresh ingredients and made to order burritos, tacos, and bowls. Across the US there are more than 3,000 Chipotle Mexican Grills in 49 states.

Fast food options in Oxford Commons continue to expand as Chick-fil-a’s second location approved by the planning commission will be located next door, at Sisk and Hopkins. The planning commissions recent vote Dec. 11 cleared the way for construction plans to begin in earnest.
