On Dec 4, deputies from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a sexual assault on County Road 514. The victim, a 13-year-old child, was allegedly assaulted by a male acquaintance.

Major Alan Wilburn with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department reported that deputies launched a comprehensive investigation, leading to the apprehension of 36-year-old Kevin Reick of Harmontown.

Reick was charged with Attempted Sexual Battery and Molesting-Touching of a Child for Lustful Purposes. He is currently in custody at the Lafayette County Detention Center with a bond set at $75,000.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further information is available at this time.
