Volta Taverna recently announced on their Facebook page that they will be closed for the remainder of the week, due to an employee case of coronavirus.

The news comes after one of their part-time employees tested positive for COVID. The employee was asymptomatic and had been exposed to someone outside of the workplace. The employee got tested immediately.

The restaurant is making an effort to follow CDC guidelines and has spoken with a doctor and city officials to make sure they are following the proper safety protocols.

As a precaution, they have asked that all employees be tested before reopening. The restaurant will also be undergoing a deep cleaning as an added precaution.

Volta Taverna plans to reopen their doors on Monday, June 15.
