A Batesville man is facing burglary charges in connection to three separate incidents.
On Feb. 26, officers with the Oxford Police Department responded to three different reports of auto burglary on Van Buren Avenue. Several security cameras in the area were able to capture the suspect.
The University Police Department located the suspect, identified as Matthew Hudson, on the University of Mississippi campus later that day and took him into custody.
Hudson, 19, was arrested and charged with three counts of auto burglary. He was booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center on Feb. 26 and released on a $15,000 bond on Feb. 27.
OPD believes there could be other victims. If someone believes their vehicle had been broken into around Feb. 26 they are asked to call OPD’s Criminal Investigation Division at 662-234-7964.
