A Memphis man is in custody following an investigation into his relationship with a minor.

Investigators with the Oxford Police Department were recently made aware of Boris Rubio, 28, and began an investigation. On Jan. 17, Rubio was arrested for enticement of a minor for sexual purposes without incident and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center, where he was given a bond of $50,000.

“The Oxford Police Department is committed to working on keeping our children safe from predators,” A statement from OPD read. “OPD would like to remind parents to know about their children’s social media activity and to teach their kids the dangers of strangers online.”
