While the National Weather Service forecasts rain on Friday and Saturday during this year’s Double Decker Arts Festival, exactly when is still uncertain.
As of Thursday morning, the NWS shows a 90% chance for rain on Friday, sometime after 7 a.m.; however, it drops to a 30% chance for Friday night.
The Double Decker Arts Festival free concert starts at 5 p.m. on Friday at the North Lamar stage.
On Saturday, the chance of rain goes from 20% in the morning to 50% in the afternoon and then down to a 20% chance of rain at night. The festival begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 10 p.m.; however, the Double Decker Spring Run begins at 7:30 a.m.
There is about a 50/50 chance it might rain down on festival attendees Saturday afternoon. Or, it might not.
Festival organizers have said the festival will go on rain or shine; however, rain showers and thunderstorms could affect when and if the scheduled bands perform.
