Fatal wreck claims life of local man

A Lafayette man died Saturday after his car left the road for unknown reasons.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, troopers responded to Highway 334 in Lafayette County at 12:47 a.m. Saturday for a wreck.
A 2014 Toyota driven by Dakota “Blayze” Bowen, 27, of Oxford, was traveling west on Highway 334 when the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree.
Bowen was pronounced dead on the scene.
The crash is being investigated by the MHP.
Bowen, originally of Amory, graduated from Lafayette High School.
