The Mississippi High School Activities Association state tennis championships will begin Monday, April 14 and run through Thursday, April 17, at the John Leslie Courts in Oxford.

In past years, there have been as many as 500 participants taking part in the event, so the parking around both centers will be heavily utilized.

Parents who use the lots to pick up children that attend Central Elementary and Oxford Intermediate should consider using a different route next week due to the increased traffic pattern.

All Leisure Lifestyle classes and activities are canceled due to the tournament.

Free play in the gym for Pickleball and basketball during the day will also not take place.

All youth tennis classes will take place at Avent Park in the afternoon and not at the tennis center.
