An Oxford man has been arrested following an investigation into allegations of child sexual abuse.

According to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a complaint on March 27, regarding the alleged abuse.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Kerriun Montrell Kinds, 29, of Oxford.

Kinds was taken into custody on March 31 and charged with touching a child for lustful purposes. He was transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center.

He later appeared before a Justice Court judge, who set his bond at $50,000; however, the Mississippi Department of Corrections placed a hold on him
