Oxford High School proudly announced the Class of 2025 Valedictorian and Salutatorian on Wednesday.
Graduation will be held on Friday, May 23, at the Sandy and John Black Pavilion on the University of Mississippi campus.
Valedictorian: Max Hill
Max Hill is the son of Ray and Kathryn Hill. He plans to attend Duke University to major in economics or public policy, which will prepare him to pursue a future career in law, investment banking, or politics.
Throughout his time at OHS, Max was involved in a variety of activities, including the orchestra and the speech and debate team, where he served as co-president. Outside of school, Max works as a file clerk for a local law firm, enjoys playing music, and values spending time with friends.
Salutatorian: Alex Ritchie
Alex Richie is the daughter of Jason Ritchie and Kristine Willett. While still deciding which college she will attend, Alex is an aspiring environmental engineer. She has actively participated in several school activities, including the speech and debate team, where she served as vice-president, and the Envirothon team, where she served as captain. Additionally, she has been a member of the Oxford cross country teams since 7th grade.
In addition to school involvement, Alex has interned with the USDA National Sedimentation Lab, previously contributed to the amphibian field research at the University of Mississippi, and is a member of the State Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council.
