Abby Moore, a senior at Regents School of Oxford, has officially committed to attending Blue Mountain Christian University this fall, where she will join the university’s golf team. The achievement highlights Abby’s dedication, talent, and hard work both on and off the golf course, school officials said.

Moore is the first female athlete from Regents School of Oxford to commit to playing golf at a university.

In addition to her athletic accomplishments, she has excelled academically, participates in yearbook, and with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes along with other activities in the Oxford community.

“I am super excited to announce my commitment to further my academic and athletic career at Blue Mountain Christian University,” Moore said. “ Most importantly, I want to thank Christ for giving me the ability to achieve this dream of mine. I would like to thank my parents, family, friends, and all the coaches who have supported me throughout this journey. I also want to give a big thank you to Coach Barefield and Coach Kohl for this opportunity.”

Her high school coach, Chris Rogers said, “Golf is a unique and individual sport. As a coach, I’m glad to celebrate Abby. This is my second year coaching Abby, and I am fortunate to be part of her success.

Abby placed second in the girls’ state competition last season. I know that she is well-deserving and will make the most of this opportunity.”
