Oxford tennis defeated Lafayette 6-1 at the John Leslie Tennis Courts on Wednesday afternoon.

Oxford’s Will Nordstrom won 6-3, 6-0 over Owens Smith in boys singles.

Oxford won all the doubles matches.

In girls doubles, Oxford’s Allie Harris Flowers and Lotte Luber won 6-0, 6-0 over Bailey Tatum and Annelyse Smith with Anna Garrett Henderson and Anna Prescott Smith winning 6-0, 6-0 over Cate Hughes and Caroline Butts.

In boys doubles Andrew Koestler and Tal Turner won 6-2, 6-2 over Finn Rico and Porter Lindsay while Sam Shipman and Van Turner won 6-0, 6-0 over Ethan Byrd and Tate Spicer. In mixed doubles, Maddie Lowery and Grayson Cope defeated Chloe Childress and Stanley George 6-1, 6-1.

Lafayette’s Jenna Lampton won over Lainey Schuesselin 6-0, 6-1 in girls singles.

Oxford’s next match is Thursday at Tupelo while Lafayette’s next match is against Pontotoc
