Ole Miss’s Denson Hollis has been appointed to the Oxford School Board.
He will be replacing Denny Tosh on the board.
The Oxford Board of Aldermen voted to appoint Hollis during a special called executive session on Feb. 26.
The Oxford School Board of Trustees is a five-member board. The Board of Aldermen appoints four of the trustees and the fifth at-large seat is filled via an election. The Board members have staggered terms and generally roll-off in February.
Hollis is the CEO and Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development at the University of Mississippi. A native of Clarksdale, he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Ole Miss in 2001 and a master’s degree in sports management from Georgia Southern in 2004. Hollis lives in Oxford with his wife, Lauren and their three daughters, Eloise, Marian, and Vivi.
The other sitting trustees are Ray Hill, Carter Myers, Lolita Gregory and Ashley Wilkinson.
