The Oxford Police Department responded on Feb. 20 to the 2700 block of South Lamar Boulevard to take a report of a vehicle theft.

The officer was able to locate video footage of the incident and used it to identify the suspect, Kylann Vance, 20, of Rienzi.

An arrest warrant was issued for Vance for auto burglary.

On Feb. 21, an OPD officer conducted a traffic stop and identified Vance. Vance was then arrested and taken into custody without incident.

Vance was taken before a Municipal Court judge for his initial bond hearing.
