Oxford artist receives MAC grant

Ruth Ann Locke, Oxford, MS, was awarded a $290 grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission. This grant was used to attend a Jerrod Partridge workshop on “The Art of the Sketchbook,” held in Oxford.

The grants are made possible by continued funding from the Mississippi State Legislature and the National
Endowment for the Arts.

Locke is a native of Lafayette County. She has studied watercolor painting with local artist, Debbie Myers, for several years and is a member of the Oxford Artists Guild. She has done on-line study as well. Her work is displayed at local art shows and at Sugar Magnolia.
