The Oxford Conference Center concluded 2024 with significant accomplishments including making a notable impact on the local economy, according to OCC Director Micah Quinn.
On Tuesday, Quinn presented the Conference Center’s year-end report to the Oxford Board of Aldermen, highlighting growth in attendance, revenue and economic impact.
In 2024, the OCC welcomed over 30,000 attendees to 300 events, generating over $1,126,000 in revenue—a 32% increase compared to the previous year. Conferences were a major contributor to this growth, with 18 conferences accounting for $476,000, or 42% of the center’s total revenue.
Quinn emphasized the importance of multi-day conferences, which bring substantial revenue and benefits to the local economy through hotel bookings and spending in the community. These events generated over $320,000 in hotel revenue, resulting in 2,451 room nights—primarily during weekdays, which are traditionally low-demand times.
The events also generated close to $400,000 in revenue for the center’s catering partnerships.
The center has already secured over $200,000 in booked events for 2025 and $530,000 in pending events and expanded its market for the second year in a row to include the larger Southeast area.
The OCC is also undergoing a rebranding initiative, including a new logo, website and messaging strategy, slated for launch in late spring or early summer.
“We’re already on track to have another great year,” Quinn told the Board.
