The Oxford and Lafayette County school districts will be closed Friday due to the winter storm.

Both schools announced the decision to close Thursday afternoon on social media.

Health Departments in Lafayette, Panola and Yalobusha will be closed on Friday.

Buses with Oxford-University Transit will end at 5 p.m. today and will not run on Friday.

All city of Oxford offices not immediately involved in storm response will be closed on Friday.

Friday trash routes in Lafayette County will not be collected.
